I had the great honor of my tune being played on BBC Radio 1xtra! It was my Dubwize Remix of reggae artist Parly B’s tune “Realise”, and though it wasn’t mentioned properly, meaning they didn’t give me credit, but just called it Parly B’s tune (the original is actually a reggae tune), i’m still very excited about this. It was played yesterday, Sunday, June 27th 2010 on the “Homegrown” show.

Here is the direct link:

And i also uploaded the episode for your listening pleasure:

On May 28th of this year i played this event at Southpaw in Brooklyn, NY. Rocked it with a special reggae / dancehall set for a few hours and then filmed the rest, upstairs and downstairs. So here is the video i shot, featuring Iron Myke, Marcus Visionary, Pinch, Silvacat Sound and Livity Movements with Human? on the mic. Though not as packed as the previous two, this party still had rockin’ vibes, Marcus just destroyed the place, and people were dancing like crazy. Sickness all around! Enjoy!

This was a show i went to on April 13th, and i was excited for weeks prior. The legendary Skatalites! Here in NYC! It was of course an amazing show. This group has carried the tradition of the original Skatalites through the decades, with ever changing line-ups but never decreasing quality. Hearing the old riddims and tunes in perfect clarity and volume was incredible! I took some video and a bunch of pics. Enjoy!

Dennis Brown

SOURCEListen to the StoryMorning Edition [7 min 18 sec]

“If they say that Bob Marley is the king of reggae music, then Dennis Brown is the crown prince.”

That’s high praise coming from the king’s youngest son, Damian Marley, and it’s one of the genre’s oldest debates: Who really rules classic reggae — Bob Marley or Dennis Brown? Even Bob Marley hailed Brown as the best reggae singer in the world.

The name “crown prince” stuck with Brown for much of his 30-year career, but his fans say he ranks second to no one. Reggae singer Freddie McGregor became friends with Dennis Brown in Kingston, Jamaica, where Brown was born in 1957.

Fresh off the press, representing the various styles of Reggae / Dub and Drum N’ Bass in all it’s forms, this is a true testimony to the ancient musical arts taught at this secretive and mythical temple. Pure dubwize & ragga dnb vibes, finishing off with some digital dancehall and wicked jungle niceness. Make sure to get this one asap!
