Amadeus live at The Village Stage, Shambhala Music Festival

Featured on the “All You Need Is Bass” Podcast! Big shouts to Scott for posting this. Check it out here: http://allyouneedisbass.com/village-sessions-ep4-amadeus/

“All You Need is Bass and PK Sound are proud to present The Village Sessions.  This ongoing podcast will feature the best performances from The Village stage, recorded live at Shambhala 2012.

Session four comes direct from Brooklyn’s Dubwize champion, Amadeus. Skillfully blending a warm selection of dubwize and ragga drum and bass, this set was spun during a perfect sunny Friday afternoon.

Amadeus is no stranger to dubwize and ragga drum and bass, from one of his first acclaimed mix cd’s “Midsummer Night Sessions” in 2001 to producing hit “The Brooklyn Dubwize EP” last year.  His mixes and podcasts feature the best of dubwize and ragga drum and bass.

Experiencing Amadeus at The Village stage was a dream come true for many happy souls. Definetly one of my personal Shambhala highlights. This set has the power to change any mood for the best. May it bring a huge smile to your face just like the girl in the pic!”

Shambhala Music Festival

I’ll be playing at The Village Stage at the Shambhala Music Festival in British Columbia this Friday, August 10th. It’s going to be amazing! The lineup for this year is ridiculous and I’m honored to be included among these fantastic artists. Make sure to check out the website:

I will post up pics and videos next week! Check out these photos of this same stage last year (and that’s only one of the many stages at this festival!):

KILLA PODCAST 34: DISCUSSION EDITION W/ SPECIAL GUESTS AMADEUS AND MO’FYAH

Tune in to the very first spoken word Killa Podcast. I sat down on an Austrian Spring morning with Amadeus (NYC) and Mo’Fiyah (Graz AT) and we discuss such topics as jungle, dubwise, producers, releases, vinyl, the party scene in Europe and North America, as well as try to figure out dubstep while battling wind and planes overhead.

Every saga has its beginning and it is my hopes that I can keep this going with new guests & discussions in my travels and as artists pass through. There is so much more to be discussed in our scene so let’s get the ball rollin with the first edition!

Live @ Bless Up! at Halcyon in Brooklyn!

Bless Up! is hosted by Liondub at Halcyon from downtown Brooklyn.

On the fifth day he created bass, then he took an Amen break. And so it was, that on Thursdays the high priests of low frequency would gather at the record store in Brooklyn to perform the ancient rites of the turntable… It is in this solemn spirit of praise to all that rumbles the jungle that the cult we call halcyon presents our latest, soon to be habitual ritual, Bless Up! – Thursdays from 6-9pm at halcyon the shop and archived on percussionlab.com Funky monks take note, Bless Up! is three hours of anything-but-silent devotion to the woofer ripping trinity of Drum and Bass, Dubstep and Dub Reggae. Our own pied pontiff, Liondub administers the wax sacraments alongside a rotating cast of cardinals representing NYC’s holiest DJ diocese. Visiting saints make miraculous appearances and as always, there’s no tithe at the door and plenty of alms for the poor, so you can save while being saved.
