Euro ’10

This year the Euro Tour was cut short by the fact that i had run out of vacation days, and was only able to spend about two weeks in europe for touring. Hence i had 4 days (2 weekends) to make it a bangin’ one, and picked some of my favorite places from previous tours. I will try to keep it a bit shorter this time with my descriptions and mostly present the below pics and videos. I hope you enjoy them as much as i enjoyed this small but amazing tour! Many many thanks to the promoters who keep booking me and to all the people who come out and support. It makes all the effort put into my music worthwhile. Ruuunnnn it:

PRAGUE, Czech Republic – Club Matrix – 9/17/2010

Prague is always one of my favorite places to play. Not only are the people extremely nice, the city is (as i mentioned the previous years) one of my all time favorite places to visit. Check out the 2008 and 2009 tour blogs for some pictures. It was awesome to be hanging with my peoples there again, and everyone was huge smiles and great vibes. Really makes me feel being part of the family there. Maximum respect to my czech peoples! Check out the pics and vid for yourself though:

LEUVEN, Belgium – Abdij Vlierbeek – 9/18/2010

Since we (my lady and i) had to catch a flight at 5am there was no point in sleeping that night in Prague. We arrived in Belgium tired as all hell at 7:30am, and slept into the afternoon. After a great dinner with MC D.O.C. and his lady, we all piled into his car and zoomed off to Leuven, but many detours and blocked roads made it more difficult to reach the venue. We arrived barely ten minutes before our set, ran in the door and took the stage. The event was held in a courtyard of an old abbey which was simply amazing! The atmosphere was powerful and the people really went crazy! Since we played during sundown we started off with some lit skies but by the time we finished, night had fallen (just to explain the pictures). Check ‘em out:

MC D.O.C. is ready!

And here is a video of the craziness that was Leuven:

COLOGNE, Germany – Kolbhalle – 9/24/2010

The following weekend, i traveled to Cologne to rejoin the Jungle Family at the Kolbhalle. Last year we turned this place out, so i was excited to return and hang with these cats again. This year the venue (Kolbhalle) was hosting an art labyrinth, with many artists joining forces to make the entire place an exhibit. In addition the main party room was painted all over, as you can see in the flyer and pics below, a project that Andi, the promoter accomplished on a solo mission in three sleepless nights….all in all the whole thing was awe inspiring. Check out the wicked art pics below. Once the party got started, the crowd gathered in the music room to go buckwild. Another amazing night at this funky venue! Besides my bags not arriving in cologne the night of, i was still having a wicked time, even with borrowed garments. Here we go:

Awesome art “labyrinth” throughout the venue, next to the party room:

And here are some pics from the actual party:

People really feeling it:

KONSTANZ, Germany – Kantine – 9/25/2010

The next morning it was off to the south of germany, to hang with the 4 corners crew in Konstanz. These heads have always gone above and beyond to make me feel super welcome and it is always the greatest pleasure to visit and play with them. A homemade dinner, more borrowed clothes, a shower, tune checking and some xbox and darts (which i kicked ass at) were all part of the pregame and it was time to roll out to the Kantine, where i had played last year as well. Katja, the manager there was sweet and welcoming as ever and the venue filled up quickly. Sia-Fu warmed up the place, then the 4 Corners Crew actually did a live ableton set, and once i stepped to the decks the crowd was already jumping around. I got to play a solid two hours and we rounded out the night with a back to back session with Sia-Fu. I left this town tired, but happy. An amazing time, every time:

Selecta Sia-Fu warming up the place someting nice!

We nah use airhorn, we use vuvuzela!!!

Sia-Fu & Amadeus – wickedness everytime!

A huge thanks to Michal, Jochem, Andi, Arnt and of course MC D.O.C., people i consider friends and amazing promoters. Also big shouts to the rest of each crew, and many thanks to the people who came out and partied with us. I cannot wait to return and do it all over again. Peace and Bless!
